Medical Colleges in Jharkhand

Jharkhand is home to few good medical institutes catering to the demand for medical education in the state. Most of these medical colleges are situated in some of the major towns and cities of Jharkhand like Jhamshedpur, Dhanbad and Ranchi.

The medical colleges of Jharkhand are generally affiliated to Ranchi University or Vinoba Bhave University. One of the leading and primary medical colleges of the state is the M G M Medical College which was found in 1964 and is situated in Jamshedpur. Besides this two other standard medical institutes of the state are Rajendra Institute of Medical sciences and Patliputra Medical College. The medical colleges of Jharkhand offer undergraduate courses like MBBS and postgraduate courses like MD, MS, etc.

Admission Procedure

Candidates looking for admission to the medical colleges of Jharkhand must acquire a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 examination with Science background, following which it is mandatory to seat for an All India pre medical examination. One can seek admission to post graduate medical programs after the completion of their MBBS degree.
