Medical education and practices be it ancient or modern, has existed in Tamil Nadu since a long time. Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani etc has always been the tradition of Tamil Nadu.

Besides this, modern medical science also made its presence long back in the 1930s with the establishment of the first medical institution by the "British East India Company" in the year 1935.

Admission Process

Any candidate, who has qualified higher secondary or equivalent examination with science background, is entitled to apply for studying MBBS or any other equivalent undergraduate medical program.
