16. Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana
Launched on Jayaprakash Narayan’s birth anniversary, October 11, 2014, this Modi government scheme focuses on the cultural and social development in the villages. The rural development programme has two key objectives. The first is to develop model villages which will be called Adarsh Grams. The objective will be achieved through the existing schemes as well as the nearly designed initiatives which will vary from village to village. The second objective is to curate models for local development which will be carried over to other villages as well. The scheme has seen good number of success stories in States like Haryana, Kerala, Jharkhand, Orissa and Punjab.
