Reliance Power Limited at present is co-coordinating several pioneering projects in the field of power generation and distribution. Some of the important assignments of Reliance Power Limited include the six coal based projects with an estimated turnout of 14,620 MW of electricity, two natural gas based projects of the Krishna Godavari Basin with an expected generation of 10, 280 MW of electricity and four hydroelectricity based projects of which, three are located in Arunachal Pradesh and one in Uttarkhand with an average production of 3,300 MW of power.The power projects at Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Sasan at Madhya Pradesh are expected to generate a total electric energy of 4,000 MW respectively. The gas based project at Dadri of Uttar Pradesh is another important assignment of Reliance Power that is estimated to produce 7,480 MW of electricity.
