Reliance Power Subsidiaries


Reliance Power Subsidiaries include several companies that generate and distribute electricity in the respective area of operation. Reliance Power Limited invests in the subsidiary companies that in turn look after the assigned projects. The net profit from a particular assignment is then shared by the subsidiary company and the mother company.

Associate Companies of Reliance Power Limited

Reliance Power Limited aims to transmit electricity in the remote corners of India through its associate companies. Sasan Power Limited (SPL) became part of Reliance Power from 7th August, 2007. Situated in Sasan of Madhya Pradesh, Sasan Power Limited, at present is involved in constructing a coal based power plant. The power plant at Sasan is estimated to generate 3,960 MW of power.

Rosa Power Supply Company Limited at Shahjahanpur of Uttar Pradesh became business associate of Reliance Power Limited on 1st November, 2006. Currently, the company is developing a coal based power plant that is expected to produce 600 MW of electricity.

Maharashtra Energy Generation Limited, at present is handling the dual projects, one of which is coal based and the other a gas-fired project in Shahpur of Maharashtra. The projects are expected to produce a total turnout of 4,000 MW of electrical energy.

Tato Hydro Power Private Limited is engaged in a hydro-electrical power project over River Siyom in West Siang region of Arunachal Pradesh. The project is expected to generate 700 MW of electricity.

Kalai Power Private Limited of Arunachal Pradesh became a part of Reliance Power Limited on 26th of September, 2007. At present, the subsidiary company is engaged in an ambitious hydroelectric power project over River Lohit of Kumblung area of the state.
