Tato Hydro Power Private Limited


A subsidiary of the Reliance Power, the Tato Hydro Power Private Limited came into being to implement a hydroelectric power project in Arunachal Pradesh. The company is currently implementing a 700 MW hydroelectric project.

The entity of Tato Hydro Power Private Limited

Tato Hydro Power Private Limited was formed on 7th of September, 2007. The basic aim behind the establishment of Tato Hydro Power Private Limited was to successfully complete a hydroelectric project of Reliance Power.

The Premier Projects

The hydroelectric project of the Tato Hydro Power Private Limited was at first a part of the Reliance Energy Limited. However, on September 14, 2007, the project was shifted to Reliance Power through an agreement. Being commissioned to the Tato Hydro Power Private Limited, the project has its operation site at West Siang of Arunachal Pradesh near the banks of River Siyom.

The 4x175 MW hydroelectric project is supposed to be completed on March 2014. Known as Tato II the project will incur a total cost of around Rs. 4045 crore. The estimated Plant Load Factor of the Tato Hydro Power Private Limited project is 66%.

With the completion of Tato II, the Tato Hydro Power Private Limited of Reliance Power will add a new dimension to the power generation sector of India.
