Aurangabad Parliamentary Constituency is situated in the state of Maharashtra in western India. The city was named after the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. It is also known as the 'City of Gates' and is close to the famous World Heritage Sites of Ajanta and Ellora caves. Aurangabad Parliamentary Constituency is the administrative headquarters of Aurangabad Division.
The city has a population of around 1,414,918 according to 2006 estimate. Satyendra Narain Singh has won five times from this seat.
