Named after Rajiv Gandhi, the former Indian Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium is one of the finest cricket stadiums in India. Conveniently located on Habsiguda Uppal Road in the eastern suburb of Uppal, Visaka International Cricket Stadium was renamed as Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium in 2005 by HCA under the leadership of YS Raja Shekhar Reddy.
Covering an area of 16 acres, the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad is around one and half kilometers from Tarnaka. It is the home ground of Deccan Chargers, the team which represents the city of Hyderabad in the IPL.
