A wide range of products is available in the market to cater to these summer problems. But what about the tanned skin? Applying sunscreens with strong SPF on the skin might sound relieving right now, but in the long run, they can have impeding effects on our skin.
Fret no more! Although the suntan will vanish eventually, still if you are in a hurry, here are natural ways by which you can quickly get rid of suntan in a jiffy!
1. Lemon juice & honey
The bleaching properties of lemon juice help in removing sun tan from the skin naturally while honey keeps your skin smooth and soft. Take one tablespoon of lemon juice and add some honey to it. Apply it to your skin and keep it for half an hour. Wash off.

2. Turmeric & Bengal gram flour (besan) face pack
If you want to gently exfoliate the dead cells from your skin and remove suntan, then this face pack is definitely for you. Combine two tablespoons of the Bengal gram flour with a pinch of turmeric, some milk and one tablespoon of rose water. Apply this pack on the tanned skin leaving it for about 20 minutes and then wash your face with cold water. You can also gently massage your face by putting some water on the dried face pack.
3. Lemon juice, cucumber & rose water face pack
Saturated lemon juice is good for removing tan, but it doesn’t suit everyone. So it is always advisable to go for a face pack made with lemon juice. This was just that. For this face pack, you need to mix one tablespoon of each of the ingredients in a bowl. Dab the face pack on the tanned areas keeping it for 10-15 minutes until dry. Wash off with cold water. The lemon juice will reduce the tanning, while rose water and cucumber soothe skin inflammation.

4. Honey and Papaya face pack
The amazing exfoliating and bleaching properties of papaya makes it a perfect choice to remove suntan. The honey in this pack soothes and moisturises skin. 19. Multani Mitti 7 Aloe Vera face pack
Both of them are enriched with anti-inflammatory properties relieving the effects of the sunburns. Mix two tablespoons of Multani Mitti and one tablespoon of aloe vera gel with some rose water. Apply this face pack on your tanned areas, letting it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water.

Face packs made with cornmeal are the talk of the town nowadays. Cornmeal and lemon juice together can make even the dullest skins look healthy and radiant. Add two tablespoons of cornmeal to one tablespoon of lemon juice. Massage this scrub on your skin in circular motions. Let it sit for about 20 minutes and then wash it with cold water.
23. Almonds, rose water & lemon juice
A well-known source of vitamin E, almonds are also useful in treating sunburns and fighting sun tan naturally. Make a paste of 4-5 almonds and add rose water and some lemon juice to it. Apply this paste on the affected tanned areas and scrub for about 5 minutes. Rinse.
24. Green Tea
Green tea is famous for its antioxidants which are extremely helpful while treating tanned skin and reducing skin blemishes. Just dip a green tea bag in a cup of hot water. Let it cool down. Dab a cotton ball in it and apply on the tanned areas. Let it sit for 10 minutes and then wash off.
