The South West District of Delhi is known as South West Delhi, which stretches over an area of 420 square kilometer approximately and the total population of this part of Delhi is estimated to be 1749492. South West Delhi lies in between the longitude 76 50' and 77 14' and latitude 28 40' and 28 29'.
South West Delhi Administrative Divisions
South West Delhi is divided into three separate administrative zones. The three zones or regions are Vasant Vihar Sub Division, Delhi Cantonment Sub-Division and Najafgarh Sub-division. Each of these administrative zones of the South West Delhi is made up of a group of villages. There are 88 villages in South West District of Delhi. Some of the villages are Todapur, Muradabad Pari, Dasgarha, Sahupur, Badu Sarai, Dhansa, Issapur, Jainpur, Jhul Jhuli and Chalwala.
Importance of South West Delhi
To the south of this district in Dwarka is located the biggest Asian colony. R.K Puram, which is the biggest governmental colony of Asia, is also situated in this Delhi District. Another important aspect of the South West Delhi is both the airports of Delhi - the Indira Gandhi International Airport and the domestic airport is stationed here.
South West Delhi is encircled in its north by the West District of Delhi, Jhajjar lies on its west, South District of Delhi lies on the east and Gurgaon falls on the southern part of this district of Delhi.
