St. Joseph's Academy

St. Joseph's Academy in Dehradun was established in the year 1934. It is one of the best boarding schools in Dehradun. Brother JC Carroll, the present Principal of St. Joseph's Academy in Dehradun goes gaga over the school's glorious past.

St. Joseph's Academy has faced the brunt of both pre-independence and post-independence challenges. The school has been awarded the 3rd Computer Literacy Excellence Award for Schools in the year 2004 by the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India.

St. Joseph's Academy at Dehradun is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi for the Class X and XII board examinations. The school session starts from April and ends in March next year. The whole session is divided into 3 terms.

St. Joseph's Academy not only fosters knowledge from books but also nurtures the human being inside each child and hence encourages each one of them for some social work by taking them on visits to orphanages, old age homes, schools for the disabled and so on.. Fees at St. Joseph's Academy is paid in 6 installments. The right for admission lies with the school and their decision is unquestionable.

St. Joseph's Academy is accredited for conducting National Institute of Open Schooling Examinations for secondary and senior secondary levels twice a year-May and November. Admissions for these are done in July or August for the next year's exams. Subjects offered include Home Science, Secretarial Practice, Typewriting, etc.
