Satpura Thermal Power Plant

Satpura Thermal Power Plant is situated in Sarni village which is close to the Ghora Dongri Railway station, Betul district in Madhya Pradesh. This efficient thermal power station in Madhya Pradesh is a cloal based plant under the ownership of MPPGCL. The plant is replete with an installed capability of 1142.50 MW. The 1st unit commenced in October 1967. While the coal for the plant is acquired from the Western Coal Fields, the Tawa Dam Lake area serves the water needs of the plant.

Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Plant is situated near the Birsinghpur railway station on the Bilaspur-Katni section of the SE Railway. It is in Umaria district, Madhya Pradesh.
