Rajasthan mainly relies on coal to satisfy its energy needs. With growing power requirement, the Rajasthan state government has requested the Central Government for more coal supply. To keep pace with the industrial growth, Rajasthan has announced several power projects in the state. These upcoming power projects are supposed to produce sufficient energy supply for the entire state. The state government is not trying to depend on coal only.
