AAPParlad Singh Sawhney-Parlad Singh Sawhney, a close aide of former Delhi CM Late Sheila Dixit, has won the Chandni Chowk constituency four consecutive times (1998, 2003, 2008, and 2013).
-He contested his first election back in 1977 from the Mori Gate ward but lost by just 100 votes.
-He tasted his first electoral victory from the Mori Gate ward of Delhi municipal election in 1983.
-Parlad Singh Sawhney was the chairman Civil Lines zone during 1983-1990.
-In October 2019, he joined the Aam Aadmi Party. According to him, he joined AAP after seeing that the party didn't lose vision even after assuming power. Parlad said that he has joined AAP to continue his developmental works for the constituency and in Delhi.
-He is a businessperson by profession.

-She started her political career in 1994 as a 19-year old girl with Indian National Congress's student wing National Student's Union of India (NSUI) and quickly became Delhi State Girl Convener.
-In 1995, Alka became the President of Delhi University Student's Union (DUSU).
-In 1996, she became the All India Girl Convener for NSUI.
-In 1997, Alka Lamba became the All India President of NSUI.
-She also became the General Secretary of All India Mahila Congress in 2002.
-She debuted in electoral politics from Moti Nagar Constituency against the heavyweight BJP candidate in 2003 but lost.
-In 2006, Alka Lamba became the General Secretary of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) and at the same time became the All India Congress Committee (AICC) member.
-During 2007-2011, she was a Secretary of AICC.
-In December 2014, Alka Lamba quit Congress to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).In February 2015, she won the Chandni Chowk assembly constituency on an AAP ticket and defeated BJP's Suman Kumar Gupta.
-She rejoined Congress in 2019 and in that process the seat became vacant. Lamba was disqualified as an MLA in 2019 after she defected from AAP to INC.
-Alka Lamba is active in social work in her own capacity. She founded India Foundation (an NGO) in 2006 to empower women and youth in participating in the development of India politically, socially, and economically. Her organization's feat of collecting blood from more than 65,000 people from around 250 districts of India during 63rd Independence Day of India (August 15, 2010) was a feat in itself. Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Amir Khan, Dia Mirza, and Ritesh Deshmukh were part of the campaign, which was also lauded by Russian Ambassador to India Alexander Kadakin.
-Alka Lamba was also the member (as a representative of the National Commission for Women) of the fact-finding team of 2012 Guwahati molestation case on 16 July 2012.
BJPSuman Kumar Gupta-Suman Kumar Gupta has been contesting from the Chandni Chowk assembly constituency since 2013. While in 2013 he lost to INC's Parlad Singh Sawhney by 8,243 votes, in 2015 he lost to AAP's Alka Lamba by 18,287 votes.
