There has been a lot of anxiety amongst students and a lot of speculations about when the CBSE Class 10 results would be out, especially after the class 12 results were declared; in all probability the results should be out today.

How the Class 10 Grading System Works

  • Grades on a 9-point scale

  • Range from A1 (excellent) to E2 (Dis-satisfactory)

  • D is the minimum pass grade A1 - above 91 score; B1 - 81 to 90; D - 33 to 40; E1 and E2 - below 33

  • Grades also carry equivalent points - 10 for A1 to 4 for D

  • Exact marks not to be revealed, but these points can be multiplied with 9.5 to get the average marks represented by grades

  • A1 will be equal to 95; A2 - 85.5; B1 - 76, B2 - 66.5; C1 - 57; C2 - 47.5

  • D will be equal to 38
