Agri Horticultural Garden


Agri Horticultural Garden is situated near the Zoological garden of Kolkata in West Bengal and is one of the most famous horticultural gardens of India. Founded by William Carey in the year 1820, the Agri Horticultural Garden has a large collection of flowering plants.

Located in a sprawling estate within the heart of Kolkata, Agri Horticultural Garden houses a flower garden, a research laboratory and a library. It is noteworthy of the garden that from time to time, the Agri Horticultural Garden organizes many seminars and courses for the general information of the common masses. It also organizes annual flower shows; while the training in horticulture forms the major attraction of the enthusiasts in horticulture.

On Wednesday, the garden remains closed up to 11 am, and on Thursday, the office remains open from 9 am to 1.30 pm.
