Located at the western part of Madhya Pradesh, the Rajgarh district lies between the north latitude 23º27'12" to 24º17'20" and east longitude 76º11'15" to 77º14'. The district has a total area 6,154 square kilometers and a total population of 12,54,085.
It is one of the smaller districts of Madhya Pradesh and very near to the state capital Bhopal.
With its temples, sculptures and natural beauty, Rajgarh is a major tourist attraction. Some of the important tourist spots are Narsingharh Town, Jalpamata Temple and Dargah Sharief.
