Matheran

From Neral a toy train chugs merrily to Matheran- offering breathtaking vistas throughout the route.There are beautiful places to visit in Matheran- Lake Charlotte and Panther's Cave.Matheran could be visited any time of the year; especially during the monsoons-which give Matheran a wild irresistible charm.

No motor vehicle is permitted to enter Matheran. All vehicles halt at Dasturi Naka, which is 3 Kilometers from Matheran. The remaining distance can be covered by foot, rickshaw or on horseback.

Beaches around Mumbai



The north of Mumbai has sea beaches comprising Marve, Madh, Aksha, Erangal, Manori and Gorai. These are unspoiled beaches of unequaled charm. Marve beach is fifty kilometers beyond Juhu beach. Marve beach is dotted with a fishing village, an old Portuguese Church and a grove of cashew nut trees. Manori is situated about 20 minutes away from Madh Island. There is a row of holiday cottages on Manori. The nearest railway station from Manori is Malad. Malad is 12 Kilometer on the Churchgate to Virar subsection of Western Railway.

Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar

Panchgani and Mahabaleswar are hill stations. Panchgani is 266 Kilometers away from Mumbai. Mahabaleswar is situated 20 Kilometers from Panchgani.

Pratapgad

The main attraction is the Pratapgad fort. Pratapgad offers a stunning view of the countryside.

Pune

Pune is situated at a distance of 190 Kms from Mumbai. The journey takes about four hours by road. Pune is an ideal weekend for Mumbaikars- it offers a variety of shopping experiences at economical prices! The places to visit in Pune are M.G Road,Koregaon park,Fergusson College Road and Dhole Patil Road.

Nasik and Vineyards near Nasik

Goa
