Mother Teresa (Awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1980)
Mother Teresa is noted for her charity work. A Catholic nun, she founded the Missionaries of Charity. She received the Nobel Peace Price in 1979. On 19 October 2003, she was beatified by Pope John Paul II. Pope Francis canonized her on 4 September 2016.
