Chittaurgarh Museum

The Chittaurgarh Museum, better known as Fateh Prakash Palace Museum, is another must visit place in Chittaurgarh. The Fateh Prakash Palace Museum of Chittorgarh houses many significant and historical artifacts.

Inaugurated in the year 1968, the Fateh Prakash Palace Museum boasts of some magnificent collection of war weapons like daggers, shields, swords, Farsa, axes, helmets and armors. One can see the clay models of the tribes of the area. These models are clad with traditional outfits and jewelries. There is a statue of Ganapati, which was built between the 8th and 9th century.

The Fateh Prakash Palace Museum also houses important archaeological findings and handicrafts of the area. The art gallery of the museum pleases the art lovers. The Fateh Prakash Palace Museum in Chittaurgarh remains open from 1000 hours to 1630 hours on all days except Friday and scheduled holidays. The doors are opened to the public free of cost on every Monday.
