Victory Tower

Victory Tower or Vijay Stambh is one of the most popular places of sightseeing in the city of Chittaurgarh. This tower was constructed by Rana Kumbha to immortalize his triumph over Mahmud, Khilji who was the ruler of Malwa, in the year 1440.

This nine-storeyed tower is 37 meters high. The Victory Tower has a balcony in each storey. From these balconies the various monuments within the Chittaurgarh Fort can be seen clearly. The temple of Sammidheshwari is located very close to that of the Vijay Stambh. The reservoir of Gumukh and Rani Padmini's Palace are closely located to the Vijay Stambh.
