Education in India is now recognized worldwide and has become very competitive. Many international universities have entered Indian education scenario and are providing Indian students high quality education. Various universities have their own syllabus and their own exam rules. Entrance exam is a must for every university and college. They are conducted by several institutions and on that basis they select students who pass the entrance exam. The exams are based on various syllabuses and are mostly conducted for the higher level of education. Entrance exam in India is regarded as the testing grounds for the students who want to assess their capabilities and know their limits.
It also tests them if they are suitable for the chosen stream and are related to the admission into the institution. However, it is important to know that only the elite institute take the entrance exam seriously and are mostly conducted by them. As they have a standard to maintain and are result oriented universities that pass out only the best candidates out of their universities.

There is a wide scope of success for the entrance exam in India. Many see that there are lots of advantages for such exams. The most obvious one is that it develops confidence and increases self esteem in the students and they also get the strength from knowing that they are eligible to pursue the education in that particular field. The scope of entrance exam determines that the best brains are selected and time is not wasted on those who do not belong to that field. There is a greater chance for such students in tuning out to be best professionals and have a bright career.
It not only helps the college and universities to churn out the best students, but also help students in knowing about the limitations and the filed that they can excel in. Entrance exams are based on the syllabus of the field that you have selected and that is why colleges are able to know which student can do well in that particular field.

Kind of Entrance Exams

There are several entrance exams conducted in India by various colleges for AIEEE, CLAT, JEE, IIT, GATE, MBBS, BDS, and many more. Many private universities have their own entrance exam, apart from the common entrance test that is held throughout India. The IIT-JEE, AIMPT and the CAT are considered as the toughest entrance exams conducted in the world. The success rates are very low and have few students passing out with good score. Every education field has an entrance exam that is mandatory for those who wish to enroll in that particular university. There is of course an entrance exam for engineering, medical, computer sciences, management entrance exams, law entrance exams, fashion and technology entrance exams, film and television institute of India entrance exams, and many more. All these fields have many types of entrance exams that one can give.

Engineering Entrance Exams in India

The IIT JEE for 9618 seats in IITs and AIEEE for 34311 seats in other engineering colleges, test Grade 12 knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. However, you can take tests in either English or Hindi; there is an online test as well. The AIPMT for 15% seat in medical colleges across the country, tests Grade 12 Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The GATE tests graduate knowledge in Engineering and Science for entry into Masters' and Doctorate.
