The Palace on Wheels is a special heritage tourist train, which has been modified to incorporate fourteen saloons, two restaurant cum kitchen cars, one Bar cum Lounge, a library and four service cars.

The cabins of each saloon are attached with bath and shower. This train is a complete example of luxury travel and has all the facilities of a five star hotel or resort.

It is a seven-day trip. The train departs from Delhi Cantt station and arrives at Jaipur, Rajasthanon second day; the third day is in Jaisalmer, the fourth in Jodhpur, fifth in Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary and Chittaurgarh Fort and the sixth day is spent in Jaipur.

On the seventh day the train goes to Agra before concluding the journey at Delhi Cantt Station on the eighth day.

This train journey is a source of attraction for tourists from all over the world.
