Kanyakumari Beach Resort

Kanyakumari is an exotic beach with multicolored sand and seawater. It is located at the southernmost tip of India in Tamilnadu. The sea here is quite rough and makes swimming very difficult and dangerous, but it also offers a wonderful sight to see when the huge waves hit against the rocks and then subside to gather again for another hit.

Surrounded by three seas of Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean, it accounts for an astonishing view. From here one can clearly see water of three different colors meeting. White, blue and Grey waters merge at a point called the 'Triveni Sangam'. This place is also famous for its outstanding views of the sunshine and sunset.

Another stunning sight from this beautiful beach of Kanyakumari is the sight of the two big rocks emerging from the sea. One of these rocks is called Vivekananda rock. It is said that Swami Vivekananda meditated on this rock. Now there's a statue of Vivekananda here, as his memorial. The other rock has a huge statue of the famous Tamil saint, Tiruvalluvar. This 133 ft high statue signifying the 133 chapters of Thirukural, was installed here by the Government of Tamilnadu in the year 2000 . Both these rocks are also the most famous tourist spots of Kanyakumari. Other attractions in Kanyakumari include the Gandhi Mandapam, temple of Goddess Kanyakumari and the lighthouse.

One can also find various types of shells on this beach. Tourists can even buy shells or different artifacts made from shells as gifts or souveniers from the stalls located nearby. A wide variety of stalls, selling everything from binoculars to seashells, dry fruits to condiments and toys to cameras are located on the beach.
