The final time table for the Second Pre-University Exam for class 12th of the Karnataka Board has been announced. The exams will start from 12 March 2014 and last till 27 March 2014. Students are advised to note down the time table carefully and plan their revision schedule accordingly.

About Karnataka Secondary Education Examination (KSEEB) Board

The KSEEB was founded in the year 1966 and draws on its rich experience spanning over several years of quality education. As per recent date, almost 8.5 lakh students appear for the SSLC exams alone every year. The board is always working towards removing discrepancies in its examination system. Towards this, the 2011 was a watershed as it witnessed the use of students' photos on their admission tickets. This has brought about greater transparency.

Board Exams to Stay

There was some confusion about the continuation of the SSLC exams, with some people claiming that the board was planning to do away with them. However, in a recent announcement the board put to rest any such doubts, affirming the continuity of the exams. That said, large-scale changes in the syllabus are envisaged. Following the overhaul of the PU exams, the SSLC exams are being targeted next. As confirmed by an official, "To increase quality and standards of the schools in the State, we are upgrading the existing syllabus based on the CBSE Class-10 syllabus, which will help our students compete with others in the future."
