Bhavnagar University


The Bhavnagar University, established in 1978, offers graduation and post graduation programs. There are also many professional courses and Ph.D. programs that are offered by Bhavnagar University.

The Bhavnagar University was founded in the year 1978. The University covers a campus area of about 3 kilometers. There are a number of facilities and amenities offered to the students. The university is facilitated with well-equipped libraries, which helps in the growth of Bhavnagar Education.

University of Bhavnagar offers education in the subjects of Arts, Science, Commerce, Medicine, Engineering, Management, Law and Rural Studies. The university has learned academicians as faculties. A total of 20 postgraduate departments are there in the Bhavnagar University. The study programs also include researches.

There are 12 postgraduate colleges under the University in Bhavnagar. Various colleges offering courses in different fields are also affiliated to the university. The subjects, which are covered, are English, Gujarati, Hindi, History, Sociology, Sanskrit, Psychology, Education, Mathematics, Statistics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Bio-informatics, Computer Science and Applications, Marine Sciences, Commerce, Economics and Business Administration.

Bhavnagar University also offers distance learning courses. This is especially helpful for the students, who are office goers. However, to help students for higher studies, there are Ph.D. programs in various branches of the subjects. The hostel facilities and great infrastructure of the colleges attached to Bhavnagar University are indeed beneficial for the students.
