Pune University

One of the premier educational institutions in Pune, the Pune University ranks among the oldest educational institutions in Maharashtra. It was established in the year 1949 and is spread over an area of 400 acres. Pune University offers plenty of courses in wide range of fields. The university has got the highest "A" rating for its overall performance by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Pune University is located close to the main city center and has a campus of 411 acres. One can avail of various transport options to reach the university. The university is located in a beautiful building constructed in Italian Gothic style. The working hours of the university are from 10.25 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. The university office remains closed on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month and on Sundays and other holidays.

The University of Pune is situated at Ganeshkhind Road. Numerous courses in various fields are offered in the University of Pune. There are around 46 academic departments which offer master's degree and research based courses in the fields of arts, humanities, science, law, commerce and management, education and moral and social sciences.
