Shilpa Shetty



Born on 8th June 1975 in the city of Mangalore, the true Indian diva, Shilpa Shetty is indeed beauty personified. As a matter of fact, she had been nominated for a total of four times in the Filmfare awards for her spellbinding acting. Apart from being strikingly gorgeous, Shilpa Shetty is also well known for her superb acting skills. She had made appearances in approximately 50 movies so far ever since her debut in Baazigar in the year 1993. She was paired opposite to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in that movie.

Although her native tongue is Tulu, this Bollywood actress can speak nine dialects. These include English, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Gujrati, Marathi, Telegu, Tamil, Urdu, and French. She was born to Surendra Shetty and Sunanda Shetty. Her friends sometimes affectionately call her ‘Silly Pooh’.

Career of Shilpa Shetty



Shilpa Shetty of Bollywood went to the St. Anthony Girls’ High School that is situated in Chembur. Later, she attended Poddar College.
She is an accomplished Bharatnatyam dancer and has also earned a black belt in karate. Her sibling, Shamita Shetty has also entered the Mumbai film Industry a few years back. Shilpa Shetty from Bollywood is 5 feet 10 inches tall.

She started her career when she modeled for a commercial of Limca in the year 1991. Her first movie as the leading lady was Aag that was released in the year 1994. Some of her most cherished and recognized films are Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Mr. Romeo, Dus, Auzaar, Pardesi Babu, Aakrosh, Lal Baadshah, Dhadkan, Karz, Darna Mana Hai, Phir Milenge, Life In A…Metro.

She had also won the reality show named Celebrity Big Brother and other television shows like Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Koffee with Karan, GMTV, The Dame Edna Treatment and Indian Idol.
