Jahangirpuri to Samaypur Badli metro services were made operational in November 2015 on the Yellow Line. The 4.4 km long extension on the Yellow Line was given a green light by Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety. It allowed people from Badli to board a direct metro train towards Gurgaon, reducing the travel time for commuters from far off places in North Delhi. The metro station of Samaypur Badli is elevated, and Jahangirpuri-Samaypur Badli extension has three station in between the 4.4 km long corridor.
