Balasore, also called Baleshwar, is a well known city in the state of
Orissa in India. The city is located south east of the capital city of
Bhubaneswar and is a popular commercial hub and tourist spot.
Balasore Parliamentary Constituency is the headquarters of the
Balasore district. According to the census of 2001, the population of Balasore Parliamentary Constituency was 106,032. The percentage of males was 52 percent while females had a share of 48 percent in the population.
Balasore is a popular for its scenic beauty. The sea side resort of Chandipur is very close to the place. The region is also well-known for the missile testing base of the army.
