Mayurbhanj is the largest district in the state of
Orissa . The district was made a part of Orissa in the year 1949 and is one of the well-known districts of the state. The headquarters of the district is located in the city of Baripada.
According to 2001 census, Mayurbhanj (ST) Parliamentary Constituency had a population of around 22, 23,456. Males constituted around 11, 23,200 while females comprised around 11, 00,256.
