He is famously known as the Indian steel tycoon. Lakshmi Mittal is the CEO and Chairman of the Arcelor Mittal group. This is a noted steel producing company worldwide. In 2018, he benefited from an uptick in steel. The company showed growth in double digits, with the net profit of US$5.1 billion and income of around US$76 billion. He acquired and turned around many steel making companies around the world, including a loss-making steel company of Italy named as “group Ilva”. Forbes 2019 ranked Lakshmi Mittal as 91st in the list of billionaires. Moreover, in 2018, he bagged 3rd position in terms of the richest men in India.
