37. Saina Nehwal
Saina Nehwal is a professional badminton player. She made India proud at various national and international badminton tournaments. Her passion for the game could be measured in terms of her awards. As she won more than 24 international titles, out of which 11 are BWF Super Series titles. After Prakash Padukone, she is the first Indian badminton player to attain no. 1 position in the world. In Olympics, she represented India 3 times. On her second appearance, she brought bronze medal home. She participated in various tournaments, and with hard work and determination won at least one medal in the Olympics, BWF major talent event, BWF World Junior Championships, and BWF World Championships. In 2016, she was honoured by the Government of India with Padma Bhushan. Other than this, she has also received Arjuna and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awards. Saina Nehwal is a philanthropist and was ranked 18th on the list of most humanitarian athletes.
