39. Sachin and Binny Bansal
Founders of the now-famous e-commerce store Flipkart, Sachin and Binny Bansal are graduates of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. One of the first entrants in the e-commerce sector, they started with delivering books initially, before expanding Flipkart to include an array of retail products. The Bansals acquired fashion etailer Myntra in May 2014, and sparked a storm in October when their Big Billion Day Saleover Rs.600 crores within 10 hours. In 2018, Flipkart was acquired by US retail giant Walmart for US$ 16 billion. In 2016, they were featured in the Time magazine 100 most influential people in the world list.
