Manavjit Singh Sandhu

Manavjit Singh Sandhu is one of the leading Indian shooters spearheading the realm of international shooting. Sandhu made a name for himself in the arena of shooting after his successful stint at the Men's Trap event at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, where he won a bronze medal. He then went on to win the gold medal at the International Shooting Feat Federation (ISSF) World Cup.

Sandhu's success in the world of shooting resulted in him being nominated for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, one of the highest forms of recognition conferred by the Government of India for excellence in sports. His spectacular finishing at the World Championships at Zagreb in Croatia earned him the gold medal, which somersaulted him to No. 1 position in world rankings. His success in the world of shooting and his numerous victories, awards and accolades fetched him the distinguished Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, for the year 2006.
