Malaika Arora, the famous Bollywood star was born on August 23, 1973. Her mother Joyce Polycarp is a Malayali and her father is a Punjabi. Her sister’s name is Amrita Arora. When MTV came to India, Malaika started working there as a VJ and soon became popular through her charismatic anchoring.

Malaika studied in Swami Vivekanand school, located in Chembur. Her aunt Grace Polycarp was the principal of that school. Malaika is not only a glamorous Bollywood actress but also a renowned model of India. Her sincere devotion towards her work and firm determination has paved her way to success. Before taking up the profession of modeling, Malaika used to stay in Borla Society.

Malaika’s strong potentiality has drawn the attention of the viewers and MTV(India) gave her the opportunity to host many of the award functions. This dusky beauty can be seen in many advertisements. She is quite popular as an item girl. She has given many marvelous performances as a professional and trained dancer. Her dance number Chaiyya Chaiyya (Dil Se) brought her huge fame. In the film Kante she danced with the song Maahi Ve. In 2005 she was again seen on the screen doing her item number Kaal Dhamal (Kaal). Her item song Munni Badnaam Hui (2010) in Dabangg movie brought more stardom at her doorstep.

This tall gorgeous lady tied the knot with the Hindi cinema actor Arbaaz Khan in 1998, but later divorced after 19 years in 2017. Together they run a film production company that has produced Dabangg series starring Salman Khan, and Dolly ki Doli. Apart from that, Malaika has also been a celebrity judge on dance reality shows such as Nach Baliye (2005), Nach Baliye 2 (2006), Jhalak Dhikkhla Jaa (2010) and India’s Got Talent.
