Milind Soman Biography
Milind Soman is an Indian supermodel and actor of Maharashtrian origin. Milind was born in Scotland and spent his early life in the United Kingdom (U.K). He moved to India in his teens.
He is an Electrical Engineer by training but chose modelling as his profession.
Milind Soman got his first break when he modeled for Thackersey fabrics. The assignment proved to be a perfect platform for the launch of his modeling career and since then he hasn’t looked back. Considered to be India’s first supermodel, he is also an excellent swimmer.
Briefly engaged to Madhu Sapre, he is married to Mylene Jampanoi- Soman, a French actress.
Milind is also an actor. He has done both commercial Hindi films and ‘crossover’ flicks. He has acted in ’16 December’, Rules, Pachaikili Muthucharam (a Tamil film) and ‘Agni Varsha’.
In ‘Rules-Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula’ Milind Soman plays Vikram- a reel supermodel-akin to his real life image. The film was a moderate hit in the urban metros.
Milind Soman is reputed to have high ethical standards. He refuses to model for tobacco and liquor companies.
He has also acted in Alisha Chinai’s music video ‘Made in India’.
He is one of the partners of e_Motion Pictures which he co-founded with Parvati Balagopalan and Deepa Sahi.
