Poulomi Ghatak Biography

Poulomi Ghatak is an Indian table tennis star was born in West Bengal in 1983. Poulomi is known for her excellent performance in the various tournaments. From a very tender age, she started practising table tennis and was always keen on taking it up as a profession. Being trained by Indian coach Tapan Chandra and Korean coach Mekim, Poulomi started her tennis career in the year 1992.

From her initial days itself, Poulomi Ghatak was a fabulous table tennis player. With her dedication and passion towards the game, she became Junior National Champion twice. After achieving the credit of winning the junior level tournaments, Poulomi went on for the senior levels.

With her undaunted attitude and skill, Poulomi again proved her dynamic table tennis skills by becoming Senior National champion twice. In the year 2000, she participated in the Olympics Table Tennis championship held at Sydney but due to her second defeat, she got eliminated.
