Jagatsinghpur is located in
Jagatsinghpur district of the state of
Orissa in India. It is a town and a notified area committee.
As per the census of 2001 records, the population of
Jagatsinghpur Parliamentary Constituency was 30,688. Of this 52% were males and 48% females. Brahmananda Panda of BJD won from the
Jagatsinghpur Parliamentary Constituency seat in the last election (2004).
Jagatsinghpur is a center of culture. It is home to some of the famous Oriya authors and popular theater groups. Sarala Temple in Jagatsinghpur is a famous tourist attraction.
