Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit, the famous Bollywood actress was born on 15th May,1967 in Mumbai. Madhuri is the youngest daughter of Snehalata and Shankar Dixit. She was one of the reigning actresses of the Hindi cinema from 1980-1990. This beautiful and talented Marathi lady won the prestigious Film Fare Awards for five times.

Madhuri Shankar Dixit passed out from Parle College. Her debut film was Abodh (1984) but after the release of her film Tezaab (1988) she never looked back. Since then this gorgeous lady worked in many hit films such as Dil, 1990- this film fetched her the 1st Film Fare Award. Beta, 1992 - Madhuri was again honored with the Film Fare Best Actress Award for her performance in this film. Hum Aapke Hain Kaun! 1994 - This super-hit film brought her the 3rd Film Fare Best Actress Award.

In 1997 Dixit played a role of a Pooja in the super hit film Dil To Pagal Hai. Her outstanding performance in this film fetched her the 4th Film Fare Award for the best actress. In 1999 this renowned actress tied the nuptial knot with an Indian American surgeon, Dr. Sriram Madhav Nene. She has two sons named Arin and Ryan.

In 2000 the famous Indian painter M.F Hussain made a film, Gaja Gamini as a tribute to this beautiful lady. In 2001 she was honored with the National Citizens Award. Dixit has also won the Star Screen Awards and Zee Cine Awards. In 2002 Madhuri Dixit played the role of Chandramukhi in Devdas. This movie was a super-hit at the box office and was shown in the Cannes Film Festival. Madhuri Dixit is indeed one of the most talented actresses of the Bollywood
