Medak is a city situated in the Indian state of
Andhra Pradesh. The
Medak Parliamentary Constituency is situated 100 kilometers from the city of
Hyderabad. The
Medak Parliamentary Constituency is also a municipality in the district of Medak. It is situated in the Telangana region of the state.
The city has a population of 1,41,916 residents according to the 2001 census. The population comprises fifty percent males and equal number of females. In 1980, the late Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, won as an INC (I) candidate from this seat. The INC has won eight times from this seat.
