The Kolar (SC) Parliamentary Constituency is located in the state of Karnataka in south India. The city is situated 68 kilometers from Bangalore and 39 kilometers from Kolar Gold Field. Kolar (SC) Parliamentary Constituency is the headquarters of the district of Kolar.
Kolar has a population of around 113,299 residents according to the 2001 census. The population comprises 51 percent males and 49 percent females. This seat is a stronghold of the INC party. K. H. Muniyappa of the INC has won from here successively since 1991. The constituency is reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates.
