The town of Anakapalli is situated in the state of Andhra Pradesh in southern India. The Anakapalli Parliamentary Constituency is located in the Visakhapatnam district of the state. The town is well-known for its jaggery market and is also an important business center of the district. Anakapalli Parliamentary Constituency is close to the famous Vizag Steel plant.
The population of Anakapalli is around 84,523 (2001 Census). One of the main attractions here is the Gauramma Gudi (the temple of Gauri). The INC has won the seat numerous times from here.
