The historical town of Bapatla is situated in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The Bapatla Parliamentary Constituency is one of the mandals of the district of Guntur. The town is well-known as a hub of education in the district. The Bapatla Parliamentary Constituency is just 9 kilometers from the Bay of Bengal.
The town has a number of attractions including the ancient Bhavanarayanaswamy temple which was built by the Chola kings.
