The city of Barh is situated in the state of Bihar in eastern India. The Barh Parliamentary Constituency is situated in the district of Patna. The city is 34 miles from Patna city. The Barh Parliamentary Constituency is also a municipality in the district.

According to the census of 2001, the population of the city is around 48,405. 54 percent of the population are males while 46 percent are females.
