Bettiah town is situated in the Indian state of
Bihar. The
Bettiah Parliamentary Constituency is located in the
West Champaran district. In 1917, Mahatma Gandhi started the Satyagraha movement from this place. The
Bettiah Parliamentary Constituency is also the headquarters of the town.
The town has a population of around 116,692 citizens. Males constitute 53 percent of the population while 47 percent are females.
