One should always have a brief knowledge about the Mangalore weather before traveling to this tropical region of South India. Though the region bears the tropical climate, the weather of this beautiful region remains endurable. During summer the weather of Mangalore remains hot and humid while that in winter months, it remains cool.

During the months of March and May when the region faces summer season, the weather at Mangalore remains hot and humid but still remains bearable. The temperature varies from 26 degree Celsius to 35 degree Celsius. One can beat the scorching hot weather in Mangalore by drinking lots of coconut water available there in abundance.

Monsoons are a relief though the main fun of touring this region of South India is winter when the weather is very cool and pleasing. The temperature during the winter season remains between 22 degree Celsius and 32 degree Celsius. The weather during the winter is moderate i.e., not too hot nor too cold and this is why tourists throng Mangalore during this season.

One should always dress as per the weather conditions of the place. Hence while one plans to leave for Mangalore, one should carry the clothing suitable as per the weather of the region. If one is planning to visit this place during summers then one should carry cotton clothes for the Mangalore weather is hot while for winter vacations in Mangalore, one should carry light woolen garments. It is because of the tropical climate that the weather of Mangalore remains so.
