Phillaur Parliamentary Constituency

 


Phillaur (SC) Parliamentary Constituency is a town and municipality in the Jalandhar distrtict of Punjab. It is the birthplace of the famous Punjabi social reformer, missionary, astrologer and writer, Pandit Shardha Ram Phillauri.

The town has a population of around 22,228, according to the census of 2001. Males constitute around 54 percent of the population while females form the rest of 46 percent .

Phillaur (SC) Parliamentary Constituency is reserved for Scheduled caste (SC) candidates.
