The students who have excelled in the science stream in class XII have great chance to pursue higher education in the domain of technology. The University of Delhi has total 34 colleges that offer four-year undergraduate programmes (FYUP) in B.Tech with different major subjects.
The cut-off list which will be let out by the university on 24 June 2014 will reveal the course in which you may take admission in, as per the minimum percentage of marks set by the college. The first cut-off list, released by the university in 2013, did not let the students with low percentage of marks to take admission in B.Tech courses, such as in Computer Science, as the cut-off had touched the mark of 99% in some colleges like
The programmes offered by the university for B.Tech include Computer Science, Electronics, Food Technology, Instrumentation, Polymer Science and Psychological Sciences. In addition, for the academic year 2014-15, the university has attempted to start B.Tech degree in Forensic Science. Though there is a possibility that more colleges will come up to provide the same, but for now it's the GTB Khalsa College that has introduced this course for the class XII pass outs.
The students who wish to pursue B.Tech course in one of the top colleges, must look forward to the cut-off lists of colleges like Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences, Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, Lady Shri Ram College For Women, Sri Venkateswara College, etc.
